My name is Anton Gorbunov, I am 42 years old, and until very recently, my life was full of projects, work, and the joys of raising three wonderful children. But everything changed overnight in May 2025, when sudden and severe abdominal pain brought me to the emergency room. After a series of examinations, I received a diagnosis that no one ever wants to hear — late stage cancer. That moment divided my life into "before" and "after".

I had to leave behind my work — developing personal online projects and occasionally repairing cars — and focus all my time and strength on treatment and maintaining at least some stability. But above all, my heart and thoughts are with my family. My wife Elena and I have been together since 2008, married since 2011. She is my rock — always on the move, always caring, even though she herself is recovering from serious surgery on her arm.

We are raising three children together: our eldest son Artyom (14), who already understands the seriousness of the situation and helps in every possible way; our son Ron (5), who loves his toy cars; and our daughter Laura (3), who sings at home and fills our days with her songs. Watching them grow — their first steps, first teeth, first discoveries — is the greatest happiness of my life.

I want to see my daughter one day in her wedding dress. I want to walk her down the aisle. I want to see my sons become strong, worthy men and be there to support them in both their struggles and their triumphs. These dreams give me the strength to fight every day.

The biggest challenge for our family now is financial. Treatment is very costly, and we are making ends meet on limited savings. Despite the severe weight loss and constant symptoms, I try to remain present for my children, to laugh with them, to play games when I can. But we cannot handle this battle alone.

I wake up every morning grateful for another day, fueled by my family's love and the laughter of my children. I still dream about a future where we all live together in a home full of space for children and, one day, grandchildren — a backyard with a treehouse, water fights with squirt guns on hot summer days, and barefoot races on the grass.

Over the last month, my situation has significantly deteriorated. The colon cancer is spreading and I am in dire need of urgent medical screening and more medical intervention.

Today I am asking for your support. Your help is not just financial assistance — it is giving me a fighting chance for me to spend more time with my wife and children, to stay by their side, to continue being a son, a brother, a husband, a father, and someday, hopefully, a grandfather.
