O meu nome é António Ferreira e sou guitarrista de jazz. Em junho de 2025, concluí a minha licenciatura em Guitarra Jazz no Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Peço o vosso apoio para continuar os meus estudos no Mestrado em Performance de Jazz em Nova Iorque — um sonho de vida que agora pode ganhar forma.

Na primavera de 2025, fui aceite no programa de mestrado na Manhattan School of Music, uma das escolas de música mais prestigiadas do mundo, com uma bolsa de aproximadamente 50,000$, que cobre 85% da propina. Como parte desta oportunidade, terei a honra de estudar com o guitarrista Mike Moreno, uma das minhas maiores inspirações, que foi designado como meu professor.

Contudo, devido ao elevado custo de vida e ao valor restante da propina, tive de pedir um adiamento de um ano. Isto dá-me até ao outono de 2026 para angariar os fundos necessários e tornar este sonho realidade.

Com o vosso apoio, acredito que poderei dar este próximo passo na minha carreira musical. Estudar em Nova Iorque terá um impacto transformador no meu futuro, permitindo-me crescer como músico, partilhar a minha música e contribuir para a cena jazzística mais importante e vibrante do mundo.

Hello everyone,

My name is António Ferreira, and I’m a jazz guitarist from Portugal. In June 2025, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Guitar at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

I’m reaching out to ask for your support in pursuing my Master’s in Jazz Performance in New York City — a lifelong dream that I now have the chance to make real.

In spring 2025, I was accepted into the master’s program at the Manhattan School of Music, one of the world’s most prestigious music schools, with a scholarship of approximately $50,000, covering 85% of the tuition fee. As part of this opportunity, I will have the honor of studying with guitarist Mike Moreno, one of my biggest inspirations, who has been assigned as my teacher.

However, due to the high cost of living and the remaining tuition fees, I had to request a one-year deferral. This gives me until fall 2026 to raise the funds I need to make this dream a reality.
