Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Antonio Martinez Vega. He was a cherished father, husband, and community member who brought so much love and light into our lives and the lives of many others. My dad was part of La Milpa de Fresno, a community farm where he grew corn from his hometown and where my mom and siblings go to spend time together. He was also an active member of several community organizations in Fresno (CCEJN, CBDIO), always trying to improve our lives through learning and community activism.

My father battled fiercely with Stage 4 stomach cancer for seven months and is a hero for us . He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

As we come to terms with his passing, we are faced with the difficult task of arranging his final farewell. We want to give him the dignified and heartfelt send-off he deserves.
