Hi,

My husband, Antonio Gonsalez, suddenly became ill with a severe blockage in his colon and needed surgery to remove the severely inflamed section of his colon, which we believe is due to diverticulitis. During the surgery, a colostomy was done to create a stoma. A stoma is created by bringing a healthy part of the intestines through a hole in the abdomen. A colostomy bag is attached to the skin to collect the stool from his body. He also ended up with a huge incision along with 4 smaller ones.

Unfortunately, things continued to get worse. He ended up with a large tube going up his nose and down to his stomach to keep his belly empty and remove bile because he couldn't stop throwing up. He hasn't eaten in two weeks. Every time they started a liquid diet, it would come back up. He'll be going on three weeks of being hospitalized as of this Sunday. He hasn't been able to work because of the severe situation and hospital stay. No one knows how long his recovery will take because everyone's bodies are different.

We were not prepared for the financial burden. We don't know when he'll be able to return to work. Our bills are going to start piling up, and that also includes rent, groceries, and funds for Lyft rides to and from the hospital and any medical appointments because I don't drive and he won't be able to drive for a while. I receive disability, but it's not enough to cover rent, bills, groceries, and more. Not to mention the hospital bills that are going to start piling up and any extra supplies not covered by his insurance.

We never ask anyone for help with anything, but today I'm asking from the bottom of my heart for help so we can make it through this situation. If you aren't able to donate, please keep him in your prayers. Please share this campaign.
