Guys, many of you know me as Boss Lady, the face of the restoration business and large loss projects. From 2018-2026, I was proud to say at that time that I was a lady of purpose! I was helping restore my country due to hurricanes and I simultaneously provided jobs for many of you in Orlando. But things took a turn when I invested in hurricanes last year, 2025, and there were none. I lost my whole investment and my business. The irony is that all the years that I restored my country and sent the best teams for disaster response don’t matter to my county, and that hurts. You know I’m always the one to keep a smile on my face even though times are hard. But I can’t sleep or eat; my stomach is in knots because I don’t see a light at the end of this tunnel.

Can you believe that Code Enforcement is fining me for additions that my father made to my home over 40 years ago? They are telling me that those additions were made illegally without pulling permits. They are enforcing code today with me, but they didn’t enforce it back then. But all I did was inherit the house. I know it wasn’t my daddy’s intention, may he rest in peace. I know he had no intention to hurt me like this today. That was 46 years ago, and I was just a child. My dad also built 2 sheds, and years later, I thought I was doing a great thing by remodeling them and helping people in need, seeing how the housing market is so bad and seeing the difficulties of people qualifying for a place is so hard now. I was able to help people in need.

Yesterday, a judge's decision changed my life. My house is in danger of being seized by the government. Not for me not paying, but for things that I couldn’t control. If I don’t pay and demolish the units and try to get the many permits, my house becomes theirs because they are fining me 30k a month. My own bedroom, they are saying, was not permitted. Because they are holding me accountable for code enforcement laws that are out now and not the laws that were around 40 years ago when Dad did this. Yes, just as I’m telling you. To add insult to injury, after I lost my business, I found a job at United, and I just lost my job on January 12. I’ve been applying like crazy and still nothing.

Although this situation urges me, they are making it almost impossible. I have to pay engineers to draw me a new survey along with 5 permits in 30 days? With what? Imaginary money? This has been my house for over 40 years. My 3 children were born here, and my parents passed here. There’s so much history. And through this house, I helped so many people. Incredible that yesterday, May 4, 2026, they told me in court that they were going to fine me 1000 dollars per day. Monthly, it’s 30k. How is that even legal? So they see me go homeless because they didn’t hold my dad accountable 40 years ago. If I don’t get things done, I only have 30 days to get permits. They will fine me and take my house. They are forcing me to pay an engineer to make some plans and get permits, 5 permits in 30 days. It sounds easy, but it’s not. Without a job, I’m struggling to pay my daily expenses: mortgage, car, utilities, house insurance, car insurance, on the daily on the house alone.
