Support Antonia and Amanda's Powerful Film

We are Sisters in Productions founders' Antonia R. Stevenson and Amanda Joy Washington. We are twin sisters from Washington D.C, have a passion for telling stories about overlooked communities and we're shooting a short film in ten (10) days. The story is based on actual events, Rookie Homicide Detective Romaine Jenkins is thrust into the unsettling investigation of six black girls who have been abducted and murdered on the streets of 1970s Washington, D.C. Partner with us to help bring our vision to life. As writers and artist, it's our mission to help create stories that bring light to Black Women and humanize the souls of Black Folk.

This story was written and created by Antonia Stevenson after she heard her uncle talking about kidnapper in Southeast, DC who would harm Black girls and toss them on the freeway. Unfortunately, detectives never caught him, but this story is not about the murderer. This story is shining light on the girls and their families.

We are working with a small budget. Majority of our funds are from our own savings. We have a team of passionate actors, DP, and assistants who are offering their services for a fee. We want to honor their time and talent and pay them their worth. Lastly, we are also in search of an excellent sound engineer which has cost us our budget to raise. We believe in this project and want to make sure that visuals are top tier and the sound is perfect.

Lastly, we are shooting on a very tight schedule and would like to provide breakfast and lunch for our crew and actors while they're on set for those three long days. We want to help keep their energy up as they use their vessels to tell this emotional story.
