Hi! My name is Antoinette & I have been diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic triple negative breast cancer. Stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), also known as metastatic TNBC, means the cancer has spread beyond the breast and nearby lymph nodes to other parts of the body, (my lungs ) and is a more aggressive form of breast cancer with fewer targeted treatment options. This all stemmed from a lump I found in my breast in August of 2024. I made frequent visits to my dermatologist complaining about the pain of this lump, but because of its placement they assumed it was a cyst that needed to be surgically removed. In February 2025 it was finally suggested that I do a mammogram, in which they found 4 masses that needed to be biopsied for further review. Two of those four masses were positive for cancer. In the month of March they have done many CT scans a bone scan and many other tests. It seems that the cancer is very progressive and it has spread to my lungs. I started chemotherapy annd immunotherapy April 3rd, and I’m having a hard time adjusting due to the many side effects. I had to quit my job because of my diagnosis. As a mother of three it’s been hard trying to figure things out. My mental health is declining because of this. I feel if I would have spoke up for myself sooner and demanded more to be done they may have caught it sooner and I wouldn’t be in this stage. This is not a death sentence! But it is putting a toll on me. I’m a fighter and this will not defeat me. My support team has been here since the beginning, but it’s only so much everyone can do. Prayl for me and I will do the same
