We always knew Anthony has a big heart, but had no idea until recently that his heart is enlarged and has a huge hole in it, in the upper chamber. With that being said, Anthony is scheduled to have open-heart surgery at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio on January 28th to repair it. If he doesn’t have the surgery, we will lose Anthony. He will return there on the 27th for labs and be checked in. The surgery is going to be a minimum of 5 hours. We will keep you updated on the day of his surgery and post-surgery for he has a long road to a full recovery.
He HAS to have this surgery and he has to have it SOON. His family needs Anthony around, we need Anthony around. This world needs Anthony around! Due to his new position he took last year, he only has 3 weeks of paid vacation and is convinced he’s going to be cleared to return to work within 3 weeks of his surgery. Realistically, this is not going to happen at all, but being the sole provider, he has a lot on his plate, which is completely understandable. He’s going to be kept at the hospital for a minimum of a week after his surgery. Then plans on staying with his parents which live near the hospital until he is able to travel in a car to come home. (He cannot drive for two months!)
There is a lot of the unknown right now, although the surgeons seem optimistic, for this is major surgery. We are all keeping our faith in God! But GOD!
As for this guy that literally won’t ever ask for anything but will do anything for anyone because he’s just a good man. He would take anyone’s kid to practice or a game and without hesitation, yes you, the one reading this! He loves wholeheartedly. He cheers your kids on! He is the most optimistic person we know. Jenisue won’t be able to be down there as much as she wants to be due to having to work and boys having school. So we’re asking to please help take some of this financial burden off him, between having major medical bills and not much paid vacation and just the thought of the unknown.
Our hopes and prayers are that he will have his surgery and be able to take the amount of time his body will need to recover with less stress knowing that Jeni and the boys are taken care of! We don’t ever ask a thing from anyone, and it wasn’t easy to get them to be open to this, but it’s because we love them, as so many other people do too!
This page will stop accepting donations on Saturday, January 25th.
Anything is appreciated. Truly. If you pray, please keep them in your prayers.
