On the morning of February 16th, my boyfriend Anthony was admitted to Marin Health Hospital in Greenbrae, CA, after experiencing a nocturnal seizure. During his stay, doctors discovered three tumors/cysts in his brain. He is currently under the care of both Marin Health and UCSF, where they are closely monitoring his condition over the next three months. Surgery is still being considered, depending on how things progress during this “watching” period.
Due to the seizures caused by the tumors/cysts, Anthony is unable to work for the next couple of months and is also unable to drive. As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly challenging time for him—physically and mentally. Anthony, at just 26 years old, has always been healthy, positive, outgoing, and full of energy. To see his life change so drastically overnight has been difficult not only for him but for everyone who loves him.
Anthony is the life of the party, a loving boyfriend, a devoted brother, a caring son, faithful friend and a respected colleague. He is also an invaluable support staff member at his school, where he’s cherished by both his students and coworkers. His passion for life, sports (especially pickleball) and his work shines through every day, and it’s heartbreaking to see him go through this.
We are raising funds to help cover his medical expenses and living costs during this time, as he focuses on recovery. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference. I hope that soon, Anthony will be back on the pickleball court, back to his students, and living life to the fullest again.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Anthony’s story and for considering a donation. Your support means the world to us, and we are truly grateful for any help you can provide during this difficult time.
