Help Anthony's Fight Against Brain Tumor\Cancer
Donation protected
On September 1st, while on a backpacking trip at Willow Lakes Anthony and his buddy had just packed up their belongings in the morning, preparing for the journey to hike back down the mountain, when Anthony suffered from his first major seizure. After his buddy and fellow hikers came to help and called Flight for Life, Anthony woke up in the helicopter on his way to the nearest hospital. After arriving at the hospital and undergoing a CT scan and MRI, the doctors explained to him that he had a golf-ball-size tumor embedded in the left frontal lobe of his brain and immediately planned for an awake brain surgery to remove the tumor. Just weeks from his birthday, planning to age out of his current health insurance, Anthony immediately began to search for the best possible treatment. After a couple weeks, multiple doctor visits, and trying to adjust back to a normal life, Anthony underwent another serious seizure at his home on September 18th. Despite the news, new challenges, and a revoked license due to his seizure, he remained determined to maintain an amount of normalcy. Trying to pick up as many hours as he could at work, finding rides, and attempting to go back to his regular routine, Anthony was in hopes of being able to better support himself through these times. As the weeks went by his seizures began to happen more frequently as he began to wake up during the night to seizure onsets. Experiencing multiple seizures in a day, including 3 in one day, it became clear that he would no longer be able to safely work until his tumor was removed with proper recovery. With consideration of the prevalence of his seizures, the doctors were able to move Anthony’s surgery date up to October 11th, quickly moving along the process of the long road to recovery ahead. Anthony’s growing medical bills in combination with his inability to work has made this battle not only physically and emotionally debilitating but financially overwhelming as well. If you know Anthony, he is a vibrant, active, young, healthy man who loves all things outdoors including snowboarding and backpacking and experiencing the joys and beauty of life. As he has found this diagnosis to be dramatically life altering and as he prepares for extensive surgery and many more hospital visits to come, any donations would help to ease the burden and allow him to focus on his journey to recovery as donations will strictly go towards medical and hospital bills. We are incredibly grateful for any help during this life changing transition to give Anthony the chance to focus on healing and returning to his normal life. Anthony has been overwhelmingly blessed with the outpour of love and support and prayers, donations, positive thoughts, or sharing this link could help immensely. Thank you for being a part of his journey to recovery.
