It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden death of Anthony Torres. On Saturday October 4th he lost his battle with cancer. Anthony Torres was a 14 -year member of the Harry Howard Hook and Ladder Co #1 in the Port Chester Fire Department. He was also an Army PFC Veteran in Co A 3rd Bn 60th Infantry in Fort Lewis WA from 1985 to 1987. He was a Heavy Antiarmor weapons Infantryman. He is also retired from the NYC Department of Corrections. He was a past Lieutenant and Company Treasurer.

Anthony was nothing shy of a gentleman, leader and great friend. He would be the first to lend a hand with anything He battled cancer for 3 years, going through many chemo trials and treatments with set-backs along the way but always with a huge smile on his face. Many of his friends are at a loss for words with his passing.

His girlfriend Cindy Conti took great care of him while he was sick. She did so much to support him.

We are trying to raise the money to help support his girlfriend and friends that are struggling to help and ease the financial burden of his untimely passing. He gave his time and dedication to his community and country so now it’s time we help him. He will be buried at Calverton National Cemetery in Long Island where he will have military honors. He will also have a Police escort all the way to Calverton National Cemetery for a final sendoff from his cherished girlfriend Cindy and Fire department family, and close friends.

We are asking for help to support his girlfriend and friends to give him the right funeral services. All of your donations will go directly to Anthony’s girlfriend to help pay for the funeral services and any end-of-life costs.
