Support Anthony & Tara's Medical Journey

I am making this on behalf of my parents, Anthony & Tara Davies, as they are really struggling with their current situation. Our dad unfortunately had a dirt bike accident out in the Moses Lake Sand Dunes and was transported to Moses Lake ER, and then transported by ambulance to Sacred Heart in Spokane. He bursted his L2 and a big piece went into his spinal canal and had to have emergency surgery. Both of our parents have full-time jobs, however, neither of their jobs provide or offer medical insurance. This is the last thing they expected to happen and are now in a financial hardship.

This will cost more than $100,000 in medical bills. My mom is out of work and staying in a hotel to be by our dad’s side, as well as he won’t be able to return to work for a long few months. ALL donations will go straight to their financial needs. Anything helps! Our dad is one tough man, as everyone who’s gotten the chance to meet him knows this. Thankful for any help we receive.

UPDATE: Today is day 4 post op. We are making progress towards having dad sit up and be on the edge of the bed. The next step is going to be seeing how much his legs will be able to hold him. There’s a lot of other details & progress that are needing to be worked out. Baby steps count though!! We are so grateful for every new milestone we hit. Still no talk about release date or how that’s going to look. Mom’s still sitting right by his side everyday, working with the nurses and taking care of dad. We know we have a very long road ahead of us to get dad to be back to as normal as possible, but we are ready to take it on together! The prayers and support that our family and friends have shown have meant the world to us. We are so thankful for you all.

Update from Mom: Happy, happy news! The financial department at the hospital has been helping with filing papers to get us approved to have our medical bills taken care of. We are feeling so much better about things. There will be devices and things he will need that won’t be covered or provided, so the support and donations will be very helpful there. Not to mention Anthony won’t be able to work for months (at least) and I will need to take some time off to take care of him and learn our new ways of life. The donations coming in will help take off the pressure there also. We are working to fill out all the papers to help us in all the ways possible. We’ve never been on any financial support or state assistance so everything is new and a learning process. I want to thank everyone that has donated or even reached out to help support us. We’ve never felt so much love and it’s pretty overwhelming!! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
