You've found this page today because Anthony has a life threatening condition and needs open heart surgery. As you might have guessed, the life of a self-employed entrepreneur doesn't come with great health insurance, 401k, and other benefits that accompany traditional employment. Anthony spends almost every dollar he makes taking care of his son, also Anthony, his nephew, Andre, and his mom, Mary. He and his family rely on consistent and constant DJ work. In fact, in the almost 20 years I've know him, I can barely think of a time he's taken a day off.

Anthony's health plan has a out-of-pocket deductible of $8,800 for the surgery and he was forced to cancel a month-long contract that would have earned him $10,000. I'm hoping his community of friends, family, and supporters will chip in to help the Sojo family through this month so that he can recover swiftly and without the anxiety of unpaid bills and exorbitant medical expenses.
