Support Anthony Saavedra's Heart Battle

Hello, my name is Anthony Saavedra. I’m a father, a fighter, and someone who’s been battling congestive heart failure for the past three years. My heart is working at only 25% capacity, and every day is a fight to stay alive for my two precious sons.

This relentless illness has not only taken a toll on my body but has also deeply impacted my ability to work, provide for my family, and afford the treatments that keep me alive. Despite doing everything I can to manage my condition, my insurance provider, Ambetter, has denied coverage for the life-saving medications I need. Without these treatments, my condition will rapidly deteriorate, and I fear the worst: leaving my sons without their dad.

Last year, on August 5th, I was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital during a critical episode. The doctors there emphasized that I need an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator), a device that could prevent sudden cardiac arrest. This procedure, along with the mounting medical expenses for doctor visits and prescriptions, is far beyond what I can afford.

I am scared. Scared for my life, scared for my boys, and scared of what tomorrow may bring without the medication I depend on.
