Reaching out to help out a dear friend, Anthony Benavidez. I have worked with Anthony in different capacities for a long while now and have great admiration for the great work he does with our most vulnerable populations. Anthony was recently injured on the job while going to a homeless encampment off of the freeway.

Anthony fractured his left ankle in three places and shattered right knee cap.

Anthonys injuries have required two surgeries so far and had him hospitalized for a month for rehab/recovery.

Anthony has been cut off from his work insurance and is only receiving 2/3rds of his pay currently. Workman's Comp is a struggle. Anthony is attending Physical Therapy 2 times a week and cannot cover household/life costs at his low rate of pay. Anthony is and has been a single father and has had no savings before this awful event.

Anthony is a very prideful person and does not easily ask for help. Knowing his recent struggles I offered to help in this manner which he refused for quite some time but he is struggling to the point now where he is allowing me to try to help him.
