Support Anthony Abernathy's Fight Against ALS

Anthony Abernathy, a loving husband and father of 3 (14, 23, and 29 yrs old), was offically diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease at the beginning of May 2018. This is an awful rare disease that attacks muscle function because the muscles stop receiving signals from the brain. In Anthony’s case the respiratory muscles (breathing, swallowing, vocal etc.) were attacked first with a type of ALS called bulbar ALS. While there is currently no cure for ALS, those with the disease and their families continue the fight for their loved one(s) who have it.
For those that know or don't know Anthony, he his a brilliant, strong, kind-hearted, and caring husband/father/grandfather/son/friend/listener, who loves the Dallas Cowboys!
While he can still listen and convey his loving spirit, since May, Anthony has had a rapid progression with the disease - losing the ability to communicate and speak with his voice, and currently uses a feeding tube to eat.
A few weeks ago, at the end of January, Anthony’s health took a deep turn after having terrible trouble breathing, swallowing, and issues with chocking. Due to these effects of the ALS, he was in the ICU for a week's time on bi-pap and oxygen machines. Anthony is now happy to be home with hospice care and the machines to keep his fight going. His wife, Donnay, has had to become his full-time caregiver.
Due to waiting periods, Anthony’s inability to work, Donnay having to become a full-time caregiver, personal bills, and medical cost, this has taken an extreme emotional and financial toll on his family.
