Support Ann's Cancer Treatment Journey

It is very humbling for us to do a Go Fund Me. We’ve had many friends who have encouraged us to do so. Ann has always been a person who shows up, she shows up for others, friends, family and even strangers. I’m always in awe of her capacity to help others no matter the circumstances. I‘ve heard countless stories of times Annie has gone out of her way to help people during their time of need. Annie’s always been a person who “shows up” and I am hoping that now others will show up for her when she is in need.
Most people don’t realize that Ann is a breast cancer survivor. She has been in remission for 7 years. This past October, Ann was diagnosed with a follicular lymphoma and she started a low level form of chemo. After undergoing the first chemo treatment, she got the news that she has a very aggressive form of lymphoma mixed in with the slow growing lymphoma. The doctors now want to give her a very intensive form of chemo. After a lot of heart-to-heart talks, we have decided not to do the intensive chemotherapy.
We had already become familiar with an alternative treatment center in Mexico. We talked with them about the type of cancer Ann has and they assured us that they can treat it holistically. Hope 4 Cancer is a state-of-the-art facility that is practicing some of the most advanced natural cures for cancer in the world – they DO NOT ADMINISTER CHEMO. They treat cancer with Sono-photo Dynamic Therapy, Photo Dynamic Therapy, Bio-Immuno Therapy, IV anti-cancer protocol, Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field Therapy (PEMP), Ozone Therapy, Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber, and Ultra-Violet Biological Irradiation, to name the major therapies.
We’ll document our journey so others may be able to see this as an option if they find themselves, or someone they love, in this situation. We think it’s a risk worth taking, and Annie really feels she can help others in the future with her experience.
Since Hope 4 Cancer is an alternative treatment center, it is not covered by insurance. Unfortunately, our medical bills have started to stack up due to the past 4 months of treatment. It’s a year long program, the first phase will be a 3 week stay in Mexico, with treatments 6 days a week. It will be followed by a home protocol and then 2 more visits throughout the year. The total cost of the program is $60,000 (including our lodging, meals & airfare). On one hand, this sounds like a lot, on the other hand, what price tag do you put on your life and your quality of life? Many friends have asked what they can do. Even a small amount will help us get the treatment that Annie needs. Since it’s an aggressive form of cancer, we are wanting to get started as soon as possible. We are preparing to leave in a few weeks. Annie is the love of my life. She is the most wonderful person I know. Anything you can do is very much appreciated.
I’m asking for prayers also, while we navigate this difficult time.
