She is currently on hospice but just trying to prepare. If you knew my grandma, Annie Marie Fantroy Booker, you know she was one of a kind—bold, funny, and never afraid to speak her mind, but she loved harder than anyone I've ever known. She raised us when others couldn't, fed anybody who came through her door, and still had love left to give to her community.

Now it's our turn to show up for her the way she always showed up for us. We just want to lay her to rest with love and dignity—nothing fancy, just the respect she earned every single day of her life.
