Support Annie Kot's Health and Healing

This fundraiser is to support Annie Kot in her battle against a rare stage 4 cancer, covering critical medical expenses for specialized treatment.

Annie Kot (née Dombowsky) is the heartbeat of her household and a pillar within our community of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Annie is an incredible person, loved by her family, her friends, and everyone who has the pleasure of meeting her. She is a devoted mother to two young children, Gianna and Ari, and the cherished wife of Joel Kot. She is known for her vibrant spirit and healthy lifestyle, making her recent diagnosis a profound shock to her loved ones.

Shortly after her 33rd birthday, Annie went to the doctor for what was believed to be a harmless cyst in her leg. In Spring 2025, testing revealed the growth was actually a rare and aggressive cancer, and has escalated into stage 4, spreading to her bones and other soft tissues. She has been working with a medical team here in Saskatchewan, but because of the obscurity of this type of cancer, treatment is uncertain and complicated. Pathologists and oncologists are still identifying the exact nature of the disease. We are doing everything we can to get her the specialized care she desperately needs.

Annie has been accepted to a world-class cancer facility abroad, offering promising treatments given her current prognosis, although the costs are significant. The initial three weeks-long stay, including surgery, treatment, medical care, travel, and medication, will be exceptionally expensive. Most of these expenses will not be covered by insurance, or Canadian Health Care. This fundraiser aims to alleviate the financial burden on Annie and her husband, as they both have taken time off work to focus completely on Annie’s healing journey.

We ask for your prayers for peace, for healing, and for the wisdom of the medical staff assessing and treating Annie. We are also humbly asking for monetary support to help cover the costly treatments, with any amount making a meaningful difference. All funds raised will go directly towards the Kot family and the above noted medical expenses.
