Hi❤️, my name is Annette and I’m a professional ballerina in Los Angeles. My sweet 7 month old kitten Cherie went into what we believed would be a routine surgery to get spayed on December 2nd and came home with two fractured hind legs. One fracture is in her hip, and requires tough surgery(s) for her to heal. We believe the clinic we took her to for the procedure, Mercy Crusade, is responsible for these traumatic injuries. We have been in contact with this clinic and they have denied taking on any responsibility or financial assistance for the long road of treatment and recovery ahead of my poor girl. This situation has been such a shocking nightmare that no pet owner could ever imagine or prepare for. This fundraiser is to prepare for the upcoming months of vet bills including surgeries, medications, rehabilitation, and other expenses that Cherie will need to get back to being the happy, beautiful, healthy girl she is. My goal is to bring awareness to this rare situation and to continue pushing the clinic responsible for this to take accountability, and to reevaluate their veterinarians, staff, and their surgical processes. I rescued Cherie with the help of my friends in June from the streets of Los Angeles, and she is the most joyful and loving kitty with no previous medical issues or genetic complications. My heart is broken for her, but she is so loved and I want to do everything I can to ensure she’s back on her two feet playing fetch with her favorite strawberry toy and chasing bees in the grass as soon as possible.
