Introducing Ms. Annette Denson Wilson, my mom, who suffered a massive stroke and is now incapacitated due to a hemorrhagic brain stroke on Friday, November 28, 2025. She is currently in a rehab facility and has been diagnosed with Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy. The doctors are closely monitoring her brain activity with constant CT scans and multiple therapies. The stroke compromised my mother's language skills, comprehension, and ability to walk and talk. It impacted her daily activities, including simple tasks like dressing and feeding herself.

The purpose of the GoFundMe account is to assist with the extended stay for skilled PT and long-term care. The rehab facility will only complete the initial 3 weeks of therapy due to governmental insurance policies. However, my mother is in for a long journey and will require skilled nursing care and multiple sessions of therapy that comprise occupational therapy (learning how to swallow, dress, bath, and feed herself), speech therapy (learning how to regain her strength in talking and recognizing her basic numbers and alphabets), and physical therapy (learning how to stand and walk on her own).

Let's help Minister Wilson get back to doing the things she loves and keep her in your prayers. Help me support her journey in gaining her strength through rehabilitation.
Update: As of 12/10/2025
As previously stated above, insurance is covering 3 weeks of rehabilitation. After day 21 of skilled nursing rehabilitation, all care becomes out of pocket despite her needing long term care and continued skilled nursing support. Skilled nursing care is extremely high looking 7500 to 12,000 a month along with PT, OT (range from 150 to 300 a session) medical transportation and long-term Neurological Rehabilitation 20,000 + and will now include rehabilitation equipment and adaptive devices.
Our goal of 100,000 will help cover the critical months of therapy and care she needs to rebuild the basic functions of life.
