Hi, my name is Hailey, and I’m making this Go Fund Me for my mom, Annette Eldredge Limppo.

My mom was hospitalized recently, and not for the first time, because of an autoimmune disease she’s been battling for years. The disease causes her own immune system to attack her, destroying her pancreas, damaging her liver, and eating away at the nerves in her muscles. This has caused a build up of other medical issues such as type one diabetes, autoimmune hepatitis, and stiff persons syndrome.

My mom has had a pretty crazy life to say the least. I’m always telling her she should write a book. She’s a middle child in a family with ten kids. She’s been a photographer, cake decorator, EMT, and a teacher. She has five kids, one of which she had when she was forty five years old. She’s lost a brother, been through divorce, and had everything she owned destroyed in a house fire at different points in her life. She’s had to start over time and time again, and yet my mom has always been the life of every party. The kind of person who can bring laughter into any room.

As an elementary school teacher I’ve seen her touch the lives of so many kids. She specializes in working with kids who have difficult circumstances or behavioral issues. Her classroom has always been a safe place for so many kids who just need a little extra love and attention. She listens to them, helps them get their wiggles out, and teaches them the skills they need to help regulate their emotions.

As you can imagine her health issues, have made it more and more difficult for her to continue working over the years. After this last hospital stay, we are unsure if she will be able to go back to work at all. We are working on getting her on disability, but the process takes time and she is in danger of losing her health insurance before that point. Without her insurance she will not be able to afford treatment for her illness.

Anything you are willing to give to help support her during this time would mean so much. My mom is by far the strongest person I know, and there are so many people that still need her, myself included. If you are unable to donate, sharing this Go Fund Me would still be very helpful and appreciated.
