Annette Breiling, founder of Friends Meeting School and Friends Elementary School which later merged with Sandy Spring Friends School, has always been a pillar of support and advocacy in her community. She has touched countless lives with her kindness, leadership, and unwavering dedication to helping others. Now, Annette is facing one of the most difficult moments of her life after losing her beloved daughter to cancer. Her daughter passed from this earth on Sunday morning, 4/12/26, after a significant and courageous battle.

Annette wishes to honor her daughter's final requests and provide the funeral her daughter asked for. However, funerals with caskets, flowers, and viewings are not part of the Quaker way of celebrating a person's life, so not much money was set aside in advance. The costs associated with honoring her daughter's wishes and supporting her family during this time have become overwhelming. Your support will help Annette create a meaningful service that truly reflects her daughter's spirit and the values they both hold dear.
