Support Anneta Kyridou on Her Journey to the 2028 Olympics
Many know Anneta as one of the trainers at T&J Fitness. Few are aware of her biggest dream, representing the United States Rowing team in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
Anneta Kyridou has been rowing since the summer of 2010 with the Nautical Club of Thessaloniki, Greece. Always full of energy, she explored many sports before discovering her true passion, rowing. From the moment she took her first strokes, she knew she had found her calling.
Her journey to success began in 2011 when she secured third place in the Panhellenic Championship in the quad event. Just a year later, she climbed to the top of the podium, winning gold in the same race. In 2013, now competing as a Beginner, Anneta earned two gold medals in the quad. That summer, she qualified for the Balkan Championship in Serbia, where she claimed third place in the double and second in the quad.
In 2014, Anneta broke a national record and won gold in the doubles for Beginners. She also secured a victory in the quad at the Panhellenic Championship, adding yet another major achievement to her growing list of accomplishments.
Her success continued to build, leading to one of her greatest achievements in 2020, winning first place in the final Olympic qualification regatta in the single sculls and earning her ticket to the Tokyo Olympics. As one of the youngest single scullers at the Olympic Games, she finished 10th, marking a significant milestone in her career. Following the Olympics, Anneta accepted a full scholarship to The Ohio State University, where she currently trains alongside her sister as part of the OSU rowing team. She is pursuing a degree in Exercise Science and is set to graduate in May 2025.
As she works toward her ambitious goal, she is preparing to compete at the World Championships. However, this journey comes with challenges, the biggest being funding. Anneta’s immediate need is to travel to Italy for competitions this May, an essential step toward Olympic qualification. Though she is reluctant to ask for help, we are reaching out on her behalf to gather support for this talented young athlete.
Let us come together to help Anneta chase her dream and represent the USA on the world stage!
