Hello, my name is Eugene and my wife is Anne. As many of you know, Anne suffered a major stroke in the first part of December. It was a terrifying time, and there were moments when I feared the worst. Thankfully, Anne has made some progress—she is now able to talk a little, recognize people, and even smile and laugh again. These small victories mean the world to us, but the journey ahead is still long and uncertain.
Anne’s doctors have told us that she will never be able to return to work, which is heartbreaking. She loved her job and her colleagues, and losing that part of her life has been incredibly hard. What makes this even more difficult is that her insurance will not cover the rehabilitation she needs to continue making progress. The cost of her care is more than I can fathom, and it’s overwhelming to face this challenge alone.
I never imagined I would be in a position to ask for help, but I am reaching out to our community for support. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help us provide Anne with the care she needs and give her the best chance at recovery. Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and for any support you can offer. God bless.
