Hello! I am Annelise Baker (Birds of Baker) and I am raising money to produce a short film about chickens in group therapy. We are planning to shoot the film on May 19th and need funds to pay for the space, camera crew, actors, and costumes.
The film is about five chickens in search of answers to why they cross the road. It will be witty and thought-provoking—a commentary on society through the lens of distraught farm animals.
Why am I going to make a film about humans dressed as chickens, you may ask? What is the point? Well, as you know, we are living in chaotic, unpredictable, and downright depressing times. As a filmmaker in the making, I seek to find the ways in which we all connect on an emotional level. I think humor is one of the best things we can share. So yes, I want to make this film to make you laugh, and I want to make this film because it is absurd :)
This is very much a passion project and we hope to create a very fun experience for the viewer. Anything you can contribute financially would be greatly appreciated—and we will put you on the producer list in the film's credits! We hope to put this film on streaming platforms.
Thank you very much and we look forward to making a great short sketch for you to enjoy.
