Anne is a talented artist and animal lover who has never met a stranger. She rescues and fosters all kinds of creatures—feathered, furry, and scaly—and is a loving mother and devoted friend. Anne recently started working at the United States Postal Service, bringing her dedication and warmth to her new role.

Rob, after years with BNSF, now runs Sandhills Exotics, a small business focused on the care and breeding of captive-bred reptiles. He is a respected breeder in the Midwest Reptile Community and is always ready to lend a hand or share his expertise.

Together, Anne and Rob have supported countless friends, family members, and fellow animal lovers. Anne’s graphic design work has brightened reptile conventions and local events, while Rob’s reputation as a breeder has made him a trusted figure for over twenty-five years.

They are devoted parents to their daughter and have been a loving Aunt and Uncle to many nieces and nephews, with Anne providing daycare and support when they were young.

Now, both Anne and Rob are facing the unimaginable: cancer diagnoses within weeks of each other. With staging and treatment plans still unfolding, they are bracing for a long and difficult journey.
