My friend Anne is one of the kindest people and hardest workers I know — someone who always shows up for others, no matter what. On December 10th, 2024, her world changed when her father, Robert, suffered a hemorrhagic stroke — a severe and often life-threatening type of stroke caused by bleeding in the brain. Since then, he has endured multiple surgeries, long ICU stays, and a grueling recovery process.

Since that day, Anne has become her dad’s sole caretaker. The past few months have been an uphill battle, filled with uncertainty, long hospital stays, and sleepless nights. But Robert is a fighter. After months in the hospital, he's finally been cleared to move into an assisted living facility — a huge milestone in his journey. Unfortunately, this next chapter comes with overwhelming costs.
