We’re asking for your support to provide financial support to my mom during this difficult time.

About my Dad:

My Dad is a photographer, animal lover, sci-fi enjoyer, car man, and travel enthusiast.

Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2014 that left us figuring out what to do next. After trying various medications, a team of neurologists decided that he should undergo a Deep Brain Stimulation Procedure, which initially offered some relief.

However, over the years, his condition worsened despite continued treatment.

In May of 2023, he had another procedure done to get rid of a bone spur that affected his speech and swallowing.

Last year, we faced the possibility of a feeding tube but hoped to avoid it as long as possible. My Dad went through speech therapy to strengthen the muscles in his throat, paired with the DBS, to delay this.

Unfortunately, throughout 2024, his health continued to decline. In September, he had a two-week hospital stay due to aspiration pneumonia from food and liquids entering his lungs.

Afterward, the decision was made to place a feeding tube into his stomach, in order to prevent further complications.

Recent Challenges:

Unfortunately, my Dad’s health has continued to deteriorate. On top of his illness, he lost his only brother and his manager in the same year. This was an immense emotional blow. He now requires more help with daily tasks, mobility aids and constant care.

My mom has been an extraordinary caregiver and advocates for him through all of this. They’ve been married for nearly 45 years, and her dedication to him has been unwavering.
