Hello Friends:

I recently lost my housing and have been navigating some unexpected setbacks, including being denied assistance. At the same time, I’ve been given an opportunity that I’m incredibly grateful for—I begin a new job on April 6th providing medical care to individuals experiencing homelessness, many of whom are struggling with mental health and substance use challenges.

This work matters deeply to me. I’ve been in recovery for over 875 days, and I’m proud of the life I’ve fought to rebuild. Today, I’m committed to showing up—for my community, and for my children.

I’m a mother to two incredible kids. My daughter, Lucy, is 9, and my son, Isaiah, is 22. They are the reason I keep going and the reason I’m working so hard to create stability again.

Right now, my biggest barrier is transportation and financialstability. I need a reliable car to get to work and to pick up my daughter from school in Marin. Without it, it becomes very difficult to maintain this new job and continue rebuilding.
