Support Anna's Gender-Affirming Surgery

Hi folks! Thank you for taking some time to stop by this page and for considering supporting me as I navigate my gender-affirming and life-saving top surgery.

My name is Anna Gallo, and I am raising money for my masculinizing chest surgery. About 2.5 years ago, I learned the term non-binary, and it significantly changed my world.

As a young kiddo, I often felt like I was a boy in the wrong body, but to be honest, that didn't quite explain me. I felt like something was wrong with me, and I desperately wished I could find peace or comfort in my own body, but I have yet to know what that is like. As I grew up and began presenting very feminine, I grew angry and miserable, yet I couldn't explain why. The pain grew so intense that I was suicidal for many years. Then I learned that people can exist outside of the binary of man and woman. I learned that there were procedures developed long ago to help folks like me feel comfort in our own bodies.

In therapy, we navigate the emotions I feel and why I feel dysphoric in my body. We discuss the steps I can take to feel more comfortable being myself. I started using only they/them/theirs pronouns to describe myself. I started wearing more masculine clothing. I even recently got a more androgynous hair cut. All these things are very affirming to me. The final big thing in my gender affirming care is for masculinizing chest surgery, or top surgery.

That's where I need to ask for help. This procedure will be costly, and there's no way I can afford it on my own. I am meeting with a surgeon soon to discuss the specific details, but it is estimated to cost about $3,000 for this procedure. I'm thankful for any support.
