Hi, I'm Annalise. Over the past 18 months, I've been contributing to Roaring Fork Valley newspapers as a freelance reporter and columnist. Just this year, I've had almost 100 pieces published between The Sopris Sun and Aspen Daily News.

I've made no secret of my longform creative writing ambitions.

Though my guidebook, Colorado Alpine Trail Runs, was traditionally published a few years ago, I'm on the journey to break into the creative side of traditional publishing.

This past June, I had the honor of participating in an Aspen Summer Words juried workshop under the guidance of writer Joshua Mohr. During that week, he mentioned another conference, one he goes out of his way to attend every year: the Kauai Writers Conference.

With his encouragement, I've registered to attend this year's meeting in Kauai, which runs from November 10th-16th. Given how generously community showed up to help me with Summer Words, I'm asking again for support to attend the Kauai Writers Conference.

I'll be participating in a master class taught by NYT bestseller Steven Rowley in addition to the general conference. The class cost $795, and the conference costs $795. I plan to schedule several meetings with writing agents and publishers, which cost $95 each.
