Proud Mom Emily here! I am so excited to let you know that Annabel Wheeler-Rose Axtell is Graduating from Bard College !

Annabel is receiving her Bachelor of Arts majoring in Religion and Literature. Bard College awarded Annabel scholarships for her academic contributions all 4 years! Each year at Bard, Annabel carried a full course load and maintained work-study and off-campus employment. Her notable work ethic and scholarship stood out to her professors, who have offered her recommendations and assistance as she continues on her academic and career path. She plans to attend graduate school to become a teacher, a passion she discovered when awarded the prestigious Bard Writing and Tutor Fellowship 2 years in a row!

As Annabel's sole source of support, I am deeply grateful to my friends, and family for helping Annabel with money and guidance. I am also proud of Annabel's work ethic and drive which was evident when she landed her 1st paid job at 13 with my sister Sarah's help. Annabel has used her last 4 summers to work full-time. I'd like Annabel to enjoy the year between undergrad and graduate school with time to reflect on her success and not be overwhelmed by paying off her loans and managing the cost of living at a very precarious time in the job market.

Annabel will be working this summer in Tivoli, NY. In August she will leave NY and embark on a cross-country road trip with her friend Quinn. In the Fall she will settle in Tucson while she spends the year working and applying to Graduate School.
