Saturday night Anna and Julia were riding with a friend when tragedy struck. Less than a mile from where they left, the car lost control, hit a tree, and rolled. Both girls were rushed to OHSU.

Julia is home with bumps, bruises, and stitches, but thankfully she’s expected to make a full recovery. Anna, however, remains in the ICU. She suffered a fractured neck, broken jaw, a brain bleed, and most devastatingly, the loss of her right arm. Doctors did everything they could to save it, but the damage was too severe.

Right now, Anna is alert and responsive, but she faces a long and difficult road ahead. She has two more surgeries scheduled this week, with hopes of moving out of ICU in the coming weeks.

As you can imagine, the medical bills, rehabilitation, and adjustments to a new way of life will be overwhelming. We are so grateful both girls are alive, but Anna and her family need all the support they can get during this unimaginable time.
