Monday, January 6th was just another day for most of us. We got up, mindlessly went through our morning routine, and headed off to work. That was not how the day went for my dearest friend, Anna. Her world came to a screeching halt. While at work as a travel nurse in an operating room in California, she received word that her only child, Victoria, had tragically lost her life back here in Iowa. Victoria leaves behind a 3-year-old little boy.

Anna will not be returning to work for the indefinite future as she prepares to lay her daughter to rest and become the primary caregiver to her little grandson. I am asking for help on behalf of one of the most selfless and giving people I have ever known.
