Many of you may already know that my aunt, Ann Thrift, has been battling kidney failure and has been on dialysis. On March 10th, she went in for a routine doctor’s visit and was immediately sent to the ER, where they discovered she had experienced multiple mini strokes.

She underwent emergency surgery on March 12th in an effort to stop the strokes. When she woke up, her arms and legs were numb, and she was unable to walk. After just two weeks of rehab—what her insurance would cover—she was sent home with assistance, only to be rushed back to the hospital two days later with carbon dioxide poisoning and dangerously low hemoglobin levels.

As of today, April 15th, 2025, Ann is still hospitalized. She remains unable to walk or care for herself. Doctors are working to place her in an assisted nursing facility, but insurance will only cover 20 days—far less than what she truly needs for a full recovery.

Ann has not been able to work, and the financial strain has become overwhelming. We are reaching out for prayers, support, and any financial assistance to help with her ongoing medical and living expenses. Every little bit helps, and we are so grateful for the love and care from all of you.

Thank you for keeping Ann in your thoughts and for any help you can offer during this difficult time.
