Support Ann Nussbaum's Leukemia Battle

The Anoka Family Chiropractic staff is reaching out to seek out help and support for our beloved front office manager, Ann Nussbaum. Ann has been with the clinic since day one, doing whatever is needed to help the office grow and thrive. She is a happy, positive soul who brings sunshine to everyone she meets. The week before Christmas, Ann was at the Mayo and was told the Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) had progressed to leukemia.

She was scheduled within the week to get her port installed and she began the New Year with chemo appointments. Ann is starting treatment from the highly experienced medical staff at the Mayo in Rochester. She has a strong support system that is hopeful, holding up Larry and Ann through this difficult time. She is looking at chemotherapy treatments that will wipe out her immune system, followed by bone marrow transplants, and blood transfusions, meaning she will not be able to hug her grandkids for around 6 months. But this process will give her the best chance at healing.

While this news has shaken the Nussbaum family to the core, we are determined to do everything in our power to help Ann overcome this challenge. Larry and Ann are already so grateful for the outpouring of love and support they’ve received from loved ones and the community.
