Dear family and friends,

We are reaching out to you to ask for your support for Ann Adams, a loving mother to three daughters, a pediatric speech-language pathologist, and a cherished member of our community. Recently, Ann suffered multiple injuries when she fell backwards down a flight of stairs. She is currently in the hospital and will be unable to work as she recovers.

As many of you know, Ann has dedicated the past 30 years of her life to helping children find their voice and communicate confidently. Through her work as a pediatric SLP, she has touched the lives of countless families, guiding children through speech delays, language challenges, and communication barriers. She’s not just a professional; she’s a compassionate mentor, a patient listener, and a fierce advocate for her clients.

But beyond her career, Ann is a kind and selfless person. She’s the friend who’ll drop everything to help you in a crisis, the neighbor who always checks in, and the colleague who offers support without hesitation. Ann has always given so much of herself to others, and now, it’s time for us to rally around her as she faces this unexpected and difficult challenge.

On January 25th, 2025, Ann suffered a serious fall down the stairs while providing respite care at a home. Tragically, she was unable to get help right away and had to wait 45 minutes before assistance arrived. She was quickly rushed to Portsmouth Regional Hospital, where doctors discovered she had sustained multiple injuries, including seven fractured ribs, a fractured clavicle, several fractured vertebrae and a fractured wrist.

The pain from these injuries was so severe that Ann required intubation to help her breathe while doctors stabilized her. As she begins her treatment and faces a long recovery, she will be unable to work, which means she is not only dealing with the physical and emotional challenges of healing, but also the financial strain from both mounting medical bills and the loss of income.

We are asking for any amount of donation you can offer to help cover Ann’s medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and living expenses during her recovery. No amount is too small, and every bit will help lighten the financial burden during this time.
