Ciao! I am Aniya McCurrie, a junior in the Accelerated Bachelor to Master program for Dietetics to Clinical Nutrition at The University of Memphis. In June 2025, I have an amazing opportunity to travel outside the United States for the first time to Ischia, Italy to earn class credit and study abroad in the Nutrition in Italy program.

The Nutrition in Italy program will explore the intersections of culture, health, nutrition, and communication including various conceptualizations of culture, factors contributing to health and nutrition inequities, and facilitators of health through cultural approaches. Students will learn about Italian culture and Italian approaches to healthcare and nutrition and will engage in self-reflection and build competency in the promotion of equity, diversity, and inclusion in health and nutrition through discussions and engagement in field experiences.

This amazing experience has financial obligations, which I couldn't possibly fund entirely myself without your help. I am asking for assistance to allow me to take advantage of this opportunity before I graduate. The total expense for the study abroad program is $3,450* not including airfare.
