Support Anita Watson's Healing Journey

My name is Jeff Wiggins and I am a friend of Anita Watson. For those of you who don't know, Anita was scheduled for some surgery in Santa Rosa just after Christmas. That surgery went badly awry and she ended up attached to a heart-lung machine and very much on the brink of death. After some days, the doctors were able to discover what went wrong and did another, corrective surgery, but Anita continued on life support for several days more. Now, she is healing. She is off life support but facing a daunting and likely very expensive stretch of rehab. We hope that she will be able to resume her old life, but that outcome remains very much in doubt and her resources are thin.

Anita has lived in the Sonoma Valley for many years, serving the people here as a waitress at the old Breakaway Cafe as well as the Swiss Hotel, and also as a meticulous and loving house-sitter for local pet parents. She has always given far more than she has taken from our community, and if she is to recover from this misfortune, it will be because people here, people who have known her and loved her, are able to offer financial support.
