Those who know Anissa Metheny know that we are not exaggerating when we say that she is the epitome of kindness, humility, and generosity. From caring for chickens and feral cats in her microsanctuary, to saving jellow jackets and bees, to providing support for her human friends, Anissa offers everyone dignity, love, and respect. Now, this beautiful soul and her family need OUR help.

Anissa recently learned that she had a serious heart condition for which she would need emergency surgery. She had her surgery on May 12 and experienced serious complications, landing her very sick in the ICU. Thankfully, while still in the ICU, she is recovering. This woman is so strong and resilient! Her husband, Mike, has been by her side all along the way. Friends are helping to care for the nonhuman animals at Anissa's microsantuary while she is in the hospital. She is receiving so much healing love and support, but this is going to be a long and challenging recovery that will extend beyond her hospital stay.

Fortunately, Anissa has health insurance, but the copays and coinsurance will be exorbitant. Mike is on unpaid FMLA while Anissa is needing care, and their health insurance premiums need to be paid. Anissa runs a nonprofit microsanctuary, so she does not have any traditional employment income for her own care.

Anissa has not asked for financial help, but she and Mike are grateful for any donations from those who are able.
