Support Anissa's Dream: Therapy Dog for Kids

I’m reaching out with a special and personal request. Since I was little, years old, I’ve dreamed of having a dog of my own. Now, as I’m about to enter a new decade (30s!), I’m hoping to make that dream a reality—and I’m asking for your support to help me do so.

My goal is not only to adopt a dog but also to train them as a therapy animal to support my work as a speech-language pathologist. I work with wonderful students who have unique needs, and I believe a therapy dog will bring immeasurable comfort, joy, and support to them, while also helping create a positive, calming presence in therapy sessions.

There is no pressure to donate but if you decide to, your donations will be matched to a charity and also go directly towards the following:

Covering some of the cost for adopting a dog, training and certification to become a therapy dog, ensuring they’re ready to help my neurodiverse students, and initial medical expenses, including vaccinations, microchipping, and other care.

This dog won’t just be a companion—they’ll be a vital part of my job and my students' lives, providing emotional support, promoting empathy, and creating a more inclusive environment. I’ve always believed in the power of animals to heal, and I want to share that with the amazing kids I work with every day.
