Hi, my name is Anisa Munoz, and I am a passionate special educator with over 10 years of experience in education. I have had the privilege of teaching in the classroom and am now serving as a school leader, striving to enhance my skills and professional development to better serve my students and colleagues. I am raising funds to attend the 2025 Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Convention — a premier event dedicated to supporting educators who serve students with disabilities and/or gifts and talents. Attending this conference is an invaluable opportunity for me to grow as an educational leader, learn from global experts, and bring back innovative strategies to support my school community.
Why This Conference Matters:The 2025 CEC Conference (Baltimore, Maryland: March 12, 2025 - March 15, 2025) will focus on two key topics that are directly aligned with my professional goals and the needs of our students:
Improving Outcomes for Students Across General Education Settings:I will learn practical strategies for strengthening classroom supports, collaborating with general and special education teachers, and tailoring instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with intensive needs.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Special Education:AI is transforming education, and this conference will explore its potential for creating instructional materials, writing IEPs, and making meaningful adaptations for learners. Gaining these skills will allow me to harness technology to deliver more personalized and effective student support.
How You Can Help:Your support will help cover:
Conference registration fees
Travel expenses
Accommodations
Attending this event in person will allow me to engage in hands-on learning, collaborate with leading experts, and participate in discussions that can only happen face-to-face.
The Impact of Your Support:By contributing, you are not just helping me grow professionally — you are investing in the success of countless students. I am committed to sharing the knowledge I gain with my school community, enhancing teaching practices, and creating better learning outcomes for students with diverse needs.
Thank You:Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me closer to this incredible opportunity. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and belief in the power of education.
Warmly,
Anisa Munoz
