My name is Anisa Selenica. As a first-generation Albanian-American, I grew up surrounded by the love and support of my family: my father, mother, three sisters, and two wonderful grandmas—my Nena (mother's mom) and Nanai (father's mom). In our Albanian culture, family means everything. We are hardworking and devoted, and our hearts are always close to those we love.

I am on a journey to become a filmmaker, driven by a passion to create meaningful films that resonate deeply with me. This documentary is just the beginning of that dream.

This campaign aims to raise funds for my feature-length documentary that delves into my family’s history and journey to America. In 2016, for my final project in high school, I created a 25-minute documentary in which I interviewed my Nena, Grandpa, and Mother about life in Albania under Communism.

My Nena means the world to me; she is the reason I am who I am today. This documentary is not just a film—it's a tribute to my family and the incredible hardships they overcame. Your support will help bring their inspiring story to life.
