My name is Joey De. I am a U.S. military veteran who served during several wars. ️️ My years of service helped shape the sense of responsibility and commitment to helping others that I continue to carry into my community and my work helping animals.
I created Animal Safety Haven to bring together the animal care and assistance work I have been involved with in my community for years.

Our Animal-Care Work
That work has included caring for community and feral cats, TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), fostering animals, helping animals obtain veterinary care, transporting animals for treatment and services, and connecting animals in need with appropriate resources.
Animal Safety Haven is being developed as a community-based effort focused on TNR and community cat care, animal rescue assistance, foster care, adoption and placement support, transportation and care coordination, lost and found animal support, wildlife assistance and referrals, supplies, and animal welfare education and outreach.
Experience Helping Animals
My animal-care work has involved using and coordinating with a number of established animal-welfare, veterinary, and wildlife resources.
✅ I am registered with Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter (FOBCAS), and over the years I have taken or coordinated cats through resources including Forgotten Cats, Aces of Spays, the Animal Welfare Association (AWA), All Pets, and The Cat's Meow at PetSmart.
I have also used veterinary resources including Willingboro Veterinary Clinic and Mount Laurel Animal Hospital when animals in my care required veterinary attention.
My experience has not been limited to cats. When wildlife has needed appropriate professional assistance, I have transported animals to Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in Medford, New Jersey.
Through this work, I have developed contacts within the animal-welfare community and learned how important it is to have access to veterinary care, TNR services, transportation, supplies, foster resources, and knowledgeable people when an animal needs help.

What Will the Funds Be Used For?
Funds raised through this GoFundMe will help with the direct costs of helping animals.
Depending on the needs we encounter, support may be used for:
Veterinary care and treatment
Spay/neuter and TNR expenses
Food and feeding supplies
Litter and everyday animal-care supplies
Medications and medical-care supplies
Humane traps and TNR equipment
Transportation to veterinary clinics, shelters, TNR programs, wildlife resources, and other appropriate services
Temporary foster-care needs
❤️ Rescue, adoption, and placement-related needs
Wildlife assistance and transportation to appropriate resources
Other reasonable expenses directly associated with helping animals in need
❤️ Our goal is simple: help animals receive appropriate care while building a stronger network of people and resources within our community.
Every contribution, regardless of size, can help provide food, care, transportation, supplies, TNR services, veterinary assistance, or another resource when an animal needs it.
