Support Angie's Recovery from Emergency Open Heart Surgery

On Monday March 24th, Angie experienced a heart attack while vacationing with her dad, Jim, in St. Petersburg Florida. The tests showed two large blockages that could not be treated with stents and Angie underwent bypass surgery on Wednesday March 27th down in Florida.

Angie came through her surgery well and we are so incredibly grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff who took, and are taking, such good care of her during this unexpected illness.

Angie will, of course, be unable to return home to Canada right away, and will be incurring additional costs for their extended stay outside of Canada. On top of the significant costs for medical treatment that are not fully covered by her insurance and the costs of staying longer, there is also the loss of income for her and for her father who is staying by her side during this ordeal.

Angie and her family would be appreciative of any contribution, no matter the size, that will help ease the financial burden (and the stress that inevitably comes with it) so she can fully focus on her recovery and healing.

Angie has a "huge heart", as those of us who know her personally can attest.

For years she has been trusted with the care of many of our fur-babies at her "doggy day-care". Her heart just seems to infinitely expand for every new animal that she meets.
