Support Angie's Journey to Ms. Hawaii
Donation protected
Aloha, my name is Angela “Angie” Martinez and I am proudly running in this year’s Ms. Hawaii US Pageant and am kindly seeking your help and support on my new and exciting journey. As a candidate, it is necessary for me to attain financial sponsorship to facilitate my competition expenses, such entry fees, program book advertisements, wardrobe, and additional expenses necessary for my successful candidacy. I am asking for support in donation or becoming one of my sponsors of this year’s premier pageant, in any monetary amount you feel you or your organization/business can offer. There are various sponsorship opportunities to accommodate your budget and ensure that your support is recognized and appreciated. In return for your support, the souvenir program book will list your name, business/organization, any advertisement, and logo in my full-page ad.
Winning the title of Ms. Hawaii would stand as evidence of my diligent efforts and commitment to a venture that is entirely new to me. This role would help me carry the responsibly of being a cultural ambassador by showcasing our heritage on a global platform to all single/unwed mothers out there. It's a chance to inspire fellow single mothers that they can do it too. Above all, it's an opportunity to set an example for my daughter, demonstrating grace and dignity.
Mental health and suicide prevention are the platforms I will be representing. In our modern society, these issues are so prevalent that almost everyone can say they know someone who has struggled with one of these issues. Personally, I have experienced the devastating loss of two sisters. Tragically, reports of depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders are on the rise, especially due to the overwhelming influence of social media. I plan to co-host an educational campaign in September 2024 for World Suicide Prevention Month. I will help create and distribute educational materials such as brochures, posters, or infographics with information about warning signs, risk factors, and available resources for suicide prevention.
This year’s pageant will be held on Friday, June 7th 6:00 PM at the Paliku Theater (Windward Community College). Tickets to the pageant are available for purchase as I would love to see you at our event. I’m happy to provide any additional information about myself or the pageant at your request. Mahalo for your time and consideration.
