On January 6, 2026, my sister Angela Barkley-Grohusky unexpectedly passed away, leaving behind her loving husband Brendan, her 15-year-old daughter Katieann, and her two cherished dogs, Buddy and Bella. Angie was a devoted mother and pet owner, and her sudden loss has left her family reeling emotionally and financially.

In the midst of this tragedy, it was discovered that Buddy, her older chihuahua, is in urgent need of veterinary care. He appears to be suffering from leg pain and requires a basic checkup and vaccinations to ensure his comfort and well-being. Bella, his fur-sister, also needs an exam, vaccinations, and to be spayed if funds allow.

We especially want to make sure Katieann doesn’t lose a cherished family pet during this time, as she is already coping with the loss of her mother. The goal of this fundraiser is to provide Buddy and Bella with the healthcare they need to remain peaceful and comfortable during this difficult transition.

Any donations received beyond their basic care will be given directly to Brendan and Katieann to help support them as they navigate life without Angie. Your support will make a meaningful difference for these beloved pets and for Angie’s family.
