Help Me Continue Standing with and Protecting Our Immigrant Community

My name is Angelica Vargas also known as Angie Vargas "The Ice Chaser" (@aaangievargas). Since June 2025, I have dedicated my time, energy, and personal resources to standing alongside undocumented immigrants and vulnerable families throughout Los Angeles and Southern California.

What started as a commitment to protect and support my community has become a mission that I continue to carry every single day.

I travel throughout California responding to reported ICE activity, checking on street vendors, documenting immigration enforcement operations, providing information, and supporting families who are living in fear.

This work doesn't have a schedule. Calls, messages, and alerts come at all hours. Some days require hours of driving, unexpected trips, and significant personal expenses. But knowing that my presence can help someone feel less alone makes every mile worth it.

I am the sole organizer and intended recipient of this fundraiser. All donations will be managed directly by me and used responsibly to sustain my ongoing community advocacy and outreach.

How Your Donations Help;

Gas and Transportation: Fuel expenses for traveling throughout Southern California, responding to community reports, checking on street vendors, and assisting families.

Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs: Oil changes, tires, routine maintenance, and unexpected repairs to keep my vehicle safe and reliable.

Emergency Expenses: Funds reserved for unexpected costs that arise while documenting enforcement activity or responding to urgent community needs.

Food, Essential Supplies: Groceries, hygiene products, gift cards, and other necessities for families experiencing hardship.

Community Patrol Support: When ICE activity increases, I also help cover gas expenses for fellow community patrollers so they can remain on the ground, monitor enforcement activity, and support vulnerable families.

Communication and Outreach: Phone service, internet access, and equipment necessary to receive community alerts, document events, and share important information.

Through TikTok, where I've built a community of over 243,000 followers, I've connected with thousands of people who believe in protecting human dignity and standing up for immigrant rights.

Many of you have personally reached out asking how you can help with gas and other expenses because you see the miles I drive and the time I dedicate to this work.

I am not a large organization. I am one woman, using my own vehicle, my own time, and my own resources to do what I believe is right.

It's been over 16 months since I first started showing up for my immigrant community in June 2025. And I'm still here. Still standing. Still fighting.Over these past months, I've driven countless miles across California, responded to community calls and messages, documented immigration enforcement activity, and continued advocating for families who deserve to live without fear.

This journey has required tremendous time, energy, and financial sacrifice. Between rising gas prices, vehicle maintenance, and the everyday expenses of staying on the road, continuing this work has become increasingly costly.

As I prepare for the possibility of increased immigration enforcement activity in 2026 throughout Los Angeles, I want to make sure I have the resources necessary to continue responding to my community.

Many of you have asked how you can contribute toward my gas and transportation expenses. This fundraiser is one way to help me continue doing this work.

Every donation, no matter how small, helps keep me on the road. Even if you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser means just as much.
