Support Angie in Her Fight Against Uterine Cancer

Hello everyone, I'm Angie, 49 yrs old. This Monday, April 14th, 2025, I received the results of my biopsy. Even though I have been praying as much as I could find time to and even when I didn't have the time, the results were going to come back the same no matter what. My life and everything in it was written before I was born, and I accept that. The results are that I have endometrial cancer, aka uterine cancer. I received those results Monday, and Tuesday I was notified that I would no longer receive Medicaid after April 30th because Social Services say that I make too much money, yet I am barely skimming by on a single household income and I find myself using food banks for groceries. I am currently trying to get health insurance through Marketplace; my phone appointment is next week with an agent. My worries are that I will need to be out of work 6-8 weeks while I recover from a full hysterectomy. I can't imagine how I am going to be able to afford gas money back and forth from UVA because that is where I will be receiving treatment, and I can only imagine the boocoodles of doctor appointments that I will have while receiving chemotherapy and other related appointments.
